Hello, my fellow coffee lovers! ☕️
I’m finally getting around to finishing up our dining room, and if you’re new here—we moved into our first home this past June! It’s cozy at around 1300 sq. ft., so I had to get creative with how to incorporate a coffee bar. Since our kitchen didn’t really have the space, I decided to set one up in the dining area instead—and honestly, I love how it turned out! It fits the space perfectly and feels super intentional. Let’s dive into how I styled it!

HOW I DECIDED WHAT TABLE TO USE FOR MY COFFEE BAR
When I first started dreaming up my coffee bar, I was leaning toward something modern or mid-century—like a cute buffet table, credenza, or sideboard (so many names for these things, right?). I actually started with two black ones that had cane webbing (these ones) and while I loved the look, the combo just felt too bulky for the space.
So, I waited patiently for the right piece to find me (as one does 😉). Around that time, Target dropped some new arrivals, and that’s when I saw her—this beautiful, dark-toned table that immediately felt perfect for the space. I debated it for a bit, but it kept popping into my head… so I took that as a sign and hit purchase! Best part? It came fully assembled 🙌
HOW I STYLED MY buffet style table
Since we currently have no bookcases (working on it!), I thought this was the perfect temporary home for a few of my favorite books. I even used a candle as a bookend—because I have a lot of candles and zero actual bookends at the moment 😂 (But Etsy and TJ Maxx have some really cute ones if you’re on the hunt!)
For the actual coffee setup, I styled my latte syrups on a riser/tray to make everything feel a little more intentional and organized. I found the prettiest glass syrup bottles with gold spouts on Amazon (linked here), and I recommend checking Amazon or TJ Maxx for syrups too—they almost always have good deals.
I also wanted to bring in some dimension, so I thrifted a piece of art for $15 that I absolutely love! It adds a nice height variation and ties the whole setup together. Thrift stores are seriously underrated when it comes to finding affordable art.
And of course, front and center on the table is my espresso machine—I’m currently using the Breville Bambino Plus and I love it. It’s a great beginner-friendly machine!
HOW I STYLED MY FLOATING SHELVES
These floating shelves were actually a DIY (You can find that tutorial here) and I’m so happy with how they turned out. One of my favorite pieces is the “Rise & Grind” sign I made at a wine & paint night with my mom and sister—it fits the space so perfectly.
When styling the shelves, I focused on balance. For example, I placed florals on the bottom left shelf and the top right shelf to create visual flow. I also kept the ends of the bottom shelf slightly taller and made the middle section a little shorter for a layered look.
I placed the Rise & Grind sign on the top left to balance out the thrifted art on the far right of the table below. Little details like that make everything feel more intentional. When in doubt, mix and match things like vases, artwork, decorative bowls, candlesticks—anything in that cozy, collected vibe.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or want help styling your own setup! ☕️✨
